Field Trips

Field trips are scheduled about once a month. We will go to seven of them this year. We try to vary the trips to hit many curriculum areas with our trips. Some of our favorite are the apple orchard, Minnesota Orchestra Kinderkonzert, Old Gem Theater, Star Prairie Trout Farm and Crystal Caves.
We will usually try one unique mode of transportation like the river boat or train. We enjoy a large muscle activity like Pump It Up or Perpetual Motion.
We love to have parents join us for these exciting trips and generally use car pools to transport the students. We do have in-house field trips where we have a guest come in and teach us about their job or skill. This year we will have a dentist and a police officer teach us about their field of experience.
